I like how you used the regulating lines to drive your layout... I tried to do the same thing... I think all of the best layouts have an underlying geometry that is discernable, even if its just on a subconscious level.... one thing that I thought might be better clarified would be the entry? right now, there are numerous points which could serve as an entry point and if it wasnt for the text, I wouln't have known which one was intentional.. I think that you are starting to differentiate your entry with the use of the columns.. but maybe not enough???
Karrick, Nice job, clean geometry, convincing presentation. Almost too convincing. I very much appreciate the use of color, especially in the large space. The color separation in the entry/transition space area on the other hand is pretending where there is no space definition. I agree with peterjames’ comment: the hierarchies in the openings along the exterior wall is not screaming entry. Please also label the three different transitions.
Karrick, sorry, I didn't enlarge the plan; didn't see your transition labels. Please check the additional posting on my blog and tweak your model to provide the required transitions.
Karrick... in addition to Pete and Werner's comments I think the gradual transtion that you labeled between 1A and 1B could use some more definition, albiet not much. Right now is just the simple wall plane that defines some sort of seperation... nothing gets you from one sub-space to the other... just another idea.
I actually like the end opposite the entry. I don't think you labeled it as such, but it really appears that the definition of the space fades away. There is a transition here too. I think it is gradual and leading you right out of the space. An exit.
